Lemon and Lavender Cordial!

Lavender and Lemon Cordial

So I was not sure whether to write more about motherhood delights or to focus on something else for a while. I thought I would post a really nice recipe for cordial. My neighbour dropped round a whole lot of lemons and so I figured I would make some cordial from them, not letting them go to waste. While I was looking for a recipe (trying to find one with a sugar alternative - hard to do!) I stumbled across this website: onebitemore Not only do I love the idea of the cordial but also the game she writes about.

Seen as though my lavender in this new house is blossoming (I have so many varieties!) I thought I would give it a go. It worked great, except, it didn’t turn pink! Which I was slightly dissapointed by. I am not sure why but none the less it is refreshing and I couldn’t wait for morning tea today when I treated myself to a lovely glass with some ice!

I ended up with a double batch, which is great cause I have a few to give away and share this great summer treat!

Mmmmm - yum! I made a similar recipe this summer using the lavender in my front garden - so delicious!

I can vouch for the deliciousness of this cordial, having been one of the lucky few to receive a batch as a gift. Yum.
